Waste Exchange
UK Ltd., was formed in January 2000 with the objective of providing
an Internet based mechanism through which industry and commerce
in the UK can achieve the EU's strategic objective of waste reduction.
Many Companies have demonstrated the profit benefit in reducing
waste but few have obtained the further benefit of significantly
reducing their materials purchased costs by acquiring resources
through the waste exchange. The aim of the waste exchange is to
provide UK industry with a low cost one-stop-shop for waste management
and waste management information over the Internet.
Chairman, Colin
Hygate and Managing Director, James Hygate have been involved in
waste management for more than a decade providing innovative solutions
for the management of waste (see www.environmentals.com).

development that has resulted in many speaking engagements both
nationally and locally and as Managing Director of the Waste Company
he developed and managed the UK's first Local Authority Waste Disposal

central government waste policy related committees. He is the only
